Our Staff
Danny and Janet Duncan are the owners of the Duncan Insurance Agency. They purchased the agency in 1983 from the Fullers. The Agency had been owned and operated by the Fuller family since 1922.
Both Danny and Janet graduated from Commerce High School in 1963, Texas A&M-Commerce in 1967, Janet, 1969 with a M.S. and Danny, 1970 with a M.S. Both also hold the Certified Insurance Counselor designation. Janet also has a Certified Risk Manager designation.
Commerce has been their home for 63 years. Janet has been on the United Way Board for the past 10 years; board member of Women in Need; Deacon, First Presbyterian Church and Texas A&M-Commerce Alumni Board. Danny has been President of the Highway 24 Association; President of the Sulphur River Municipal Water District and board member of the South Sulphur Regional Development Corporation. Both are affiliated with other organizations. When asked what do you do here in Commerce, Danny responded, "There are a myriad of opportunities for any individual to get involved. Come by to see me. Commerce is an interesting and fun place to work and live. I think more people are discovering this everyday."
Jennifer Caldwell has been with the Duncan Insurance Agency since she was a sophomore in high school, and received her B.S. from Texas A&M-Commerce in 1998. She is familar with all lines of insurance, has a property/casualty license as well as a life and health license, and is working to become a Certified Risk Manager. Jennifer lives in Wolfe City with her husband, Jake, and their two girls.
April Gooch has been working for the Duncan Insurance Agency since June, 2006. She is currently a student at Texas A&M--Commerce and majoring in marketing. April is also licensed to sell property and casualty insurance. She lives in Commerce with her husband, Randy, and son, Eli.
Denise Smith has been with Duncan Insurance Agency in Cooper, Texas for 6 years. She is licensed to sell property and casualty insurance, and is currently working toward her CIC Designation, Denise has been a Delta County resident for 18 years, where she raised her two daughters Jennifer and Ashley.
